MUSTANG RIDE/RIDE and
PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
MAY 22 – 25, 2010
It’s time to
seriously think about booking one of the most memorable
adventures of your life, observing and photographing mustangs in
the wild.
Kay Levie,
internationally known equine photographer, is teaming up with
Rock Creek Pack Station to take a maximum of 20 individuals by
horseback to observe and photograph the wild mustangs in an area
north of Bishop, California. The pack station will provide
reliable riding horses, tack, tents and food. Kay will provide
daily photographic instruction and guidance with a discussion
and critique of the day’s shoot each evening.
The program
will consist of riding out each morning after breakfast to
locate the herd then dismount to photograph the magnificent
horses. After a great evening meal, a selection of photos from
each photographer of the day’s shoot will be projected on a
screen and discussed.
All levels of
photographic skills are welcome but you will need a digital
camera. Kay will be in touch with each photographer prior to the
class to assess their equipment, photographic level and riding
skills.
Cost for the
4-day adventure is $750. Part of the proceeds will go towards
the support of rescued Spanish Mustangs in Borrego Springs,
California, a project with which Kay is very involved.
There will be
an orientation meeting at Kay’s ranch in Borrego Springs and an
opportunity to see wild mustangs up close and to meet Craig
London of Rock Creek Pack Station. Date of the orientation
meeting is to be announced. Rock Creek Pack Station has
information on the Ride/Workshop on their website,
