                      YEARLING MUSTANGS!!

                                             YEARLING MUSTANGS!!

Ever thought about getting a Mustang???  Here is an awesome opportunity to get a Yearling that has already been socialized, and halter trained.  53 yearlings have been placed with trainers, and many of them will be available for adoption.

Watch this page for new pictures of the yearlings, then watch the yearlings in their special yearling classes - talk with the trainers - then join the silent auction on your favorite colt or mare.

Watch these youngsters during the special yearling classes - Pick out your favorite, and then enjoy the thrill of bidding on your "Expo Baby" during the silent auction Saturday. The Bidding will close at NOON on Saturday for the Yearlings available for adoption.

The Mustang Yearlings will have SPECIAL, just for them classes at the Western States Wild Horse and Burro Expo in August (Reno, NV  August 15-17).  There will be two classes with three groups:  Youth, Open and Professional.  Mustangs will be scored in body condition (not conformation) and an in hand competition, including picking up feet, loading in a trailer and leading through a pattern with obstacles.  Cash prizes will be $5000 split between the three groups. Special classes will continue at the Wild Horse Expo for these 50 horses in 2009 and 2010 with additional cash prizes.

At the Wild Horse Expo (this August), after competition, participants may keep their yearling, at no cost (the $125 adoption fee will be waived).  You can take your yearling home and we hope to see you at the show in the future.  You do not have to compete at Expo to keep your yearling.

If you decide you don't want to keep the yearling, the yearlings will be sold during the Wild Horse Expo by Silent Auction bidding (Bidding will close at 12:00 Saturday).   Any monies raised above the $125 adoption fee for your yearling is YOURS.
