Some of the booths listed are the trainers that you will see at the event: Lesley Neuman, Jerry Tindell, and Ray Field. Remember, they have all donated their time to help raise awareness of gentle training methods and relationships with your horses. They are providing and inspiring in our youth and families a safe association with horses. All our vendors are critical to our continued success! Not only do they give you an excellent opportunity to shop in one location, but they support this show and the rescue efforts we are all working towards. They have donated thousands of dollars in time and merchandise over the years, which has been presented in our auctions and raffles to raise funds for water developments for wild horses in the wild, rescue work, education, and adoption of wild horses who have been removed from the range. For all of you that have a hard time finding western or horsey material to make things with, this is your one stop shopping center. I have never seen so much in a variety of western material than I did at their booth. Many other items such as gifts, household décor, and dinnerware. CINDY’S THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE AND EQUINE CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY It’s a busy world and we need to take time for our bodies and that or our four legged equine’s as well. Cindy Halverson, ESC., CMT., Bowen Therapy and Therapy for horses, will be at her booth to explain massage therapy, is completely portable and will have a tent, table, and massage chair available AND can go to your stall or barn. On top of this, Cindy is donating two clinics to this Expo in an effort to help you understand how to make your horses feel better and also to help support this fundraising effort. Please do stop by her booth and thank her for helping us help our horses. CONTE CRAFTS Georgia and her husband have been with us for many years and have supported the efforts of the horse show crew. They make wood and western home decor items and you will find your unique one of a kind pony here. They make toy wooden horses on wheels similar to tricycles but much more fun for your children (and you). Each year they customize a horse with a BLM freeze brand and adoption papers for the lucky bidder in the auction. The horse comes with its own health certificate and brand inspection papers so you can take your new pet home to any state that you come from. They are one of a kind and very easy on the upkeep. For years the BLM has gathered more than 10,000 wild horses and burros off America’s public lands in order to keep the wild herds healthy and preserve the quality of the range. The National Wild Horse and Burro Foundation is partnering with the BLM to find new homes for these excess horses and burro’s. They have also granted us the initial funding to be able to host this Expo and will be hosting a national adopters conference during this Expo. Lesley is an incredible trainer. NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS This is Nevada’s inmate/wild horse gentling program from the Warm Spring Correctional Center in Carson City, NV. The inmates are trained in gentling and riding wild horses using safe humane methods. These horses are gentled under the oversight of trainer Hank Curry, who has also donated a training clinic for the Expo. The horses are then offered to the public at quarterly adoptions where you can obtain a saddle trained wild horse that you can take home and ride the next day. They also offer training of adopted horses that you can select from the BLM or State of Nevada "estray" program. You may select the horse you want and have adopted and then place it in their training program which is much safer for you and your horse. Jerry Tindell has worked with horses since early childhood. He is amazing to watch as he can take a very troubled horse and transform it within a short time to a soft trusting animal. Jerry has generously donated three days of training clinics to help you work and communicate with your horse. He is educating people and providing a safer relationship between horses and their families, you will be amazed by his teaching ability. He has material and videos that you may order online or purchase at the Expo and take home. He also conducts training clinics throughout the western (and occasionally eastern) states. Bonnie Davis has generously offered to host horsecamping clinics on how to get a horse ready to go camping, what to take, horse papers to pack, how to camp (highline, picket, portable, etc), setting up a camp to meet invironmental quality concerns, water and feed requirements, etc. Handouts include a list of places to go, check lists for camping, etc. Horsecamping is a way ALL owners can enjoy their "favorite friend" without spending a lot of money on equipment, tack, entry fees or keeping in style with the horse next door! KERSON:Video Mike will be at the Expo with his camera, and can video you and your horse or burro in your competition. He can only do two animals per show class, so get your orders in early! Mike has over 30 years experience in film, and is available to videotape you and your horse at this event. He can produce videos for all your needs: to help you in your personal training program, to promote breeding stock, to sell stock, or whatever your video desires may be. Nancy Kerson is the volunteer webmaster for this website, and she has an informational website about mustang adoption at www.mustangs4us.com. As "Outfitters For Cyberspace" Nancy creates and maintains websites for businesses and individuals, and will be offering a few "Expo Special Deals" for those interested in getting a website. The Kerson family has adopted and are currently training three BLM mustangs, as well as a PMU foal and a mustang mule.
