More Live & Silent Auction Items:COLLECTOR'S BUCKLES SERIESThe National Wild Horse and Burro Show (wild-horse.org) started a collector belt buckle series in 1993. All the buckles were numbered from #1 to #100 on the back of the buckles. Through the years people have collected, started and stopped. There has been one ONLY collector through the years that has maintained an intact collection of buckles. Some years there were two buckles issues, a woman's and man's size buckle. They are the #1 buckle and this is the SINGLE ONLY intact collection of that series. There are 15 buckles total (including the years of two buckles). Retail averages between $125-$185 if purchased separately. This is easily a $1,500 - $2,000 value. This is now a numbered series for serious collectors not just individual buckles. With the collection comes a letter of authenticity from the Show Assn, a donation from the Show Assn. of the 2003 #1 Show Buckle and also a guarantee that in future years the successful bidder will always be offered first option of the purchase of the #1 buckle. Should they decline, the buckle will be sold but they will have first option in hopes to keep the collection intact and going. (I'm sure whoever gets them will want to keep them going.) MYLER BITSAfter seeing the concho that Crumrine designed for us, Ron Myler has generously offered for their company (which is worldwide) to make 15 signed and numbered LIMITED EDITION wild horse and burro bits! The limited edition series will be sold by Myler bits to help us out as they have for the past 11 years but never to this extent. I think the limited edition series bits will go for about $300 each. BUT, here's the best part, they are making and donating in its entirety, a one of a kind, limited edition of one, SOLID SILVER AND GOLD Wild Horse and Burro Bit. Same conchos as our belt buckles and will say "wild horses and burros" on the shanks. The two bits will look similar but one is solid silver and gold and is valued at approx. $1,000 This bit will be auctioned off on Friday night. If you get a chance, please stop by the Myler Bit booth and thank Ron for this generous donation. HORSE TRAINING SERVICESThe Nevada Department of Corrections, Prison Training Program, has donated $1,000 worth of training for the successful bidder. Training at the prison is $400 a month. The successful bidder will get 2 1/2 months of training. They can either go adopt and purchase a wild horse to put in training or if they already have a horse they can put that horse in training. Adopt at the expo and send the horse right to the prison. If the horse is already started, it will just go that much further in training. Under Hank Curry and the experienced trainers they have there, they can take the horses well beyond just the initial gentling to polished horses. HAND-CRAFTED JEWELRY FROM |
